SharePoint Administrator (Remote)

Maxxum Group is searching for a highly skilled and motivated SharePoint Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. As a SharePoint Administrator, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our SharePoint environment to ensure seamless collaboration, document management, and workflow automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of SharePoint architecture and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

SharePoint Infrastructure Management:


  • Install, configure, and maintain SharePoint servers and farm infrastructure.
  • Monitor and optimize SharePoint performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to integrate SharePoint with other systems.


Site Collection Administration:


  • Create and manage SharePoint site collections, sites, libraries, and lists.
  • Configure and customize SharePoint sites to meet business requirements.
  • Implement and enforce security policies and permissions.


User Support and Training:


  • Provide end-user support for SharePoint-related issues.
  • Conduct training sessions to educate users on SharePoint functionality and best practices.
  • Create and maintain user documentation and training materials.


Workflow and Automation:


  • Design and implement SharePoint workflows to automate business processes.
  • Integrate SharePoint with other enterprise applications for seamless data flow.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve workflow issues.


Backup and Recovery:


  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for SharePoint data.
  • Conduct regular backup tests and ensure data integrity.
  • Patch Management and Upgrades:
  • Stay current with SharePoint updates, patches, and new releases.
  • Plan and execute SharePoint version upgrades as needed.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting:


  • Monitor system performance and provide regular reports to management.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks and system issues.


Collaboration and Communication:


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather feedback and address concerns.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a SharePoint Administrator or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of SharePoint architecture, configuration, and best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online and Office 365 integration is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Microsoft SharePoint certifications are desirable.
